I just found out about the upcoming 7th Annual West Oak Lane Jazz & Arts Festival that will be held from June 18th through the 20th. Leave it to Philly to throw a 3-day-long street party!

Billed as “the most anticipated jazz event on the East Coast”, it boasts two stages, more than 500 musicians and three continuous days of music, art, shopping and food.

So if you’re in South Jersey (or even if you’re not) take a short trip across the Delaware and prepare to become immersed in a spectacle for all your senses.

I highly suggest clicking around the festival website. It is VERY useful – chock full of information such as “festival tips” and “places to stay.” There’s even a “Suggested Items To Bring To The Festival” section where they list all the knick-knacks you’d normally kick yourself for forgetting!

I’ve got to hand it to the festival organizers – the site shows how much they really care about their guests.

Oh, and HOLY COW, did I mention the festival is FREE? Yes, F-R-E-E! Could it get any better? It runs from 9am to 12pm on Friday and Saturday. Sunday is “only” a 12 hour day – 9am to 9pm.

See you there!
