Though you might not know it by the weather we’ve been having, one of the surest signs of the return of summer is almost upon us: Westfield’s annual Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival. This year marks the festival’s 17th edition and it’s bound to fill your summer Tuesdays with colors from all over the jazz spectrum.

This year’s lineup presents some of our favorite local performers, including Radam Schwartz (a must-see), The Jazz Lobsters, Marlene VerPlanck, & Pam Purvis.

With simultaneous performances taking place at 4 locations across Westfield’s beautiful downtown area, you’ve got your choice of sights and sounds:

  • Central Avenue in front of Banana Republic
  • the lawn in front of the North Avenue Train Station
  • the plaza at the corner of East Broad and North Avenue
  • and Elm Street in front of the Baptist Church

The links below include a full schedule of performers as well as a map to help you locate the performance areas and nearby parking.

Westfield’s Sweet Sounds Downtown Jazz Festival runs every Tuesday in July and August from 7-9pm.
