We lost another giant this week.

As you know by now, Lena Horne passed away earlier this week. In the Jazz world, she was probably best known for her rendition of the classic Stormy Weather.

NJ.com has published a touching article with NJ Jazz artists sharing their thoughts on the late, great entertainer.

“Aside from her impeccable musical legacy, we honor her for coming of age in an era that didn’t accept her”, says jazz guitarist and Saddle River native John Pizzarelli, who testifies to Horne’s enduring influence on generations of musicians.
