Radam Schwartz at the Hammond B3 Organ

Master of the Hammond B3 Organ, Radam Schwartz will make his debut at Makeda Ethiopian on Thursday, Jan 20

Jersey jazz lovers: The weather outside is frightful, but don’t let that stop you from joining us this week at two live music events.

The first, on Thursday the 20th will feature the debut of New Jersey’s own Master of the Hammond B3 Organ, Radam Schwartz and his Quartet. Regulars at the Tuesday Night Jazz Jam at the Crossroads in Garwood will recognize Radam’s stylized, energetic organ playing. If you haven’t had the pleasure, I encourage you to come out and join us this Thursday, January 20th at Makeda Ethiopian Restaurant in New Brunswick. It will be Radam’s first time playing there and I know he will enjoy having an appreciative audience.

For those who can’t justify going out on a “school night,” we’ll be meeting up again two days later on Saturday the 22nd at Robin’s Nest in Linden to watch the Gas House Gorillas show. This is one event I’ve eagerly awaited for several months, ever since I first heard some audio samples of the band. They play an energetic style called “jump blues” and are sure to get your blood pumping.

I encourage you to come out and support live jazz and blues in NJ:
